MENTORING FOR YOUNG WOMEN INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH SI ERLANGEN, GERMANY
In 2016, Soroptimist International of Riverside and our Friendship Link, Soroptimist International of Erlangen, Germany, developed an exchange program to give young women from both cities the opportunity to have new experiences by staying in the respective partner city. The young women stay in the homes of Soroptimist members for two weeks interacting with the people in the area and visiting places of interest. The goal of this annual exchange is to help advance personal and professional development of young women from both countries.
EVALUATION AND SELECTION DATE:
In July 2025, a student from Erlangen, Germany, visited Riverside.
In 2026, SI Riverside will be hosting a student from Erlangen, Germany.
In 2027, SI Riverside will be once again be sending a student from Riverside to Erlangen, Germany. More information will be available in the future on how to apply for the student exchange in 2027.
ELIGIBILITY:
Eligible women must meet the following requirements:
Be between 20 and 25 years old
Demonstrate an interest in the German culture
Live in Riverside or surrounding areas
Identify themselves with the ideals of Soroptimist (soroptimist.org)
Family members and relatives of Soroptimist ARE eligible.
NOTE: SI RIVERSIDE IS NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME. WILL BEGIN APPLICATION PROCESS WHEN THE NEXT RIVERSIDE TO GERMANY STUDENT EXCHANGE TAKES PLACE IN 2027.
